As a certified medicinal aromatherapist and working with essential oils for the past 10 years, I have come to understand that we live in an age of pills, quick fixes, and ingredients that take a scientist to interpret on all of our products from the foods we eat, beauty products, to cleaning our bathroom and a striking unconsciousness about our own bodies. At the same time we blame doctors, politicians, fast food and every one is an expert or has some extreme view.

It is my wish that we take a deep breath and begin to become conscious and take a look at what we are using without blame and start to make personal changes. Maybe it is cleaning your bathroom with lemon oil or the next time you get an insect bite, you try a little topical application of oregano.

I started Sacred Scents after working for Aroma Vera for many years and that business closed. I have always treasured my clients that I worked with through the years and stayed in touch while working for various other essential oil companies, all of which are great. After about a year of bouncing around one of my dear clients convinced me to start doing private blending for her spas. I fell in love with this process and immersed myself further into the study of essential oils. At the time we moved to Sedona Arizona and I began studying medicinal aromatherapy. When we returned to Southern California last year, I decided to really dive into my business and became certain this was my life’s work and passion.

Over the years I have studied with many people including Marcel Lavabre of Aroma Vera, Michael Scholes of Lab of Flowers, Rena Joy of Soothe your Soul, and Barry Kapp of Wisdom of the Earth. I have also come to know and trust all of my suppliers and love their oils. I offer wild crafted oils for those who are price conscious and want a pure oil, Organic oils and also medicinal oils for those interested in treating certain specific ailments. I hope someday soon to distill some of my favorite oils like lemon and orange myself.

There are many excellent essential oil companies. All of my teachers have their own companies. Ultimately you should choose whom you resonate with and where you feel most comfortable.
